Ali's diary: The umbrella and the evening shower

It was very humid from the morning, and the whole day was hot and muggy.

Around 3 p.m., I was heading to the convenience store, and just as I stepped out of the house, thunder rumbled in the distance.

No sooner had the sky gone dark than a heavy shower suddenly started.

I didn't have an umbrella, so I was soaked from head to toe in no time.

I hurried back home, changed my clothes, and this time went out with a big umbrella.

But just as I opened the front door, the rain stopped completely.

As if the rain a moment ago had been a lie, the sky had cleared up completely.

In the end, I walked to the convenience store without opening my umbrella even once.

When I told the shop clerk, they laughed and said, "Evening showers stop as soon as they start, so you just have to wait a little."

I see. Next time, I'll try not to panic and wait a little.

Just as I got home thinking that, thunder began to rumble in the distance again. This time, I rushed to bring in the laundry.
