- V普通形 + わけだ
- いA普通形 + わけだ
- なA + な + わけだ
- N + の / である + わけだ
- N + という + わけだ
Explicación
There are two uses. (1) Understanding: when you learn the reason and think "So that's why ~ / No wonder ~." (2) Conclusion: stating the natural result of facts or numbers, "so that means ~," often with つまり or じゃあ. In both, the speaker connects a reason with its result.

B「じゃあ、引っ越す わけですね。」A: "I'll be working at a company in Osaka from next month." B: "So that means you'll be moving."
Notas
Use (2) is similar to ということだ, but わけだ stresses that the result follows naturally from the reason. The negatives わけではない and わけがない have different meanings; see the next items.
