  • V普通形 + としても
  • いA + としても
  • なA + だ + としても
  • N + だ + としても

ရှင်းလင်းချက်

としても means even if we suppose ~ is true, the result does not change. It is used for things that are unknown or unlikely, imagined as a hypothesis. It is similar to ても but stresses the supposition more. It can be used with たとえ or もし.

နမူနာများ

  • 今いまからタクシーに乗のったとしても、会議かいぎには間まに合あわないだろう。

    Even if I took a taxi now, I probably wouldn't make it to the meeting.

  • 宝たからくじが当あたったとしても、仕事しごとは続つづけるつもりだ。

    Even if I won the lottery, I would keep working.

  • 値段ねだんが少すこし高たかいとしても、安全あんぜんなものを選えらびたい。

    Even if it costs a little more, I want to choose something safe.

  • その話はなしが本当ほんとうだとしても、今いまはだれにも言いわないほうがいい。

    Even if that story is true, you'd better not tell anyone for now.

မှတ်ချက်

Na-adjectives and nouns need だ (本当だとしても). Note that N + としても can also mean also as N (in the role of N), which is a different use.
