Explanation
Add がする to nouns like 音 (sound), 声 (voice), におい (smell), 味 (taste) or 感じ (feeling) to say that you sense something naturally, without trying to. 〜気がする means "I have a feeling that ~," a vague impression rather than a firm opinion.

Notes
To say you are sensing a sound or smell right now, use 音がします, not 音があります. The particle is が; 音をする is wrong.
