- V辞書形 + べからず
- V辞書形 + べからざる + N
- する → す + べからず/べからざる(「するべからず」とも)
解說
This is the negative of the classical auxiliary べし and expresses a strong prohibition. べからず ends a sentence and appears on signs, notices and mottos. べからざる comes before a noun and means "which must not / cannot be ~", as in 許すべからざる行為 (an unforgivable act) or 欠くべからざる存在 (an indispensable thing). Both are stiff written forms and are not used in everyday conversation.

注意
べからず cannot be followed by a noun; use べからざる to modify a noun. For する, the form すべからず is the most common.
