Want someone (or something) to do ~
〜てほしい expresses a wish for someone else, not yourself, to do something. Mark that person with に. It can also be used for weather or events, as in 晴れてほしい (I hope it's sunny). For your own wish, use 〜たい. 〜ないでほしい means "I want someone not to do ~."
友だちに 引っ越しを 手伝って ほしいです。
I want my friends to help me move.
部屋の 中で タバコを 吸わないで ほしいです。
I'd like you not to smoke inside the room.
Honorific language: raising the other person's actions
Sonkeigo describes the actions of someone above you, such as a teacher, boss or customer, and raises that person. It is made with お〜になる / ご〜になる, with the same form as the passive (〜れる・られる), or with special verbs. When a verb has a special form, that is usually used. Never use sonkeigo for your own actions.
社長は 何時に いらっしゃいますか。
What time will the company president come?
山田先生は もう お帰りに なりました。
Professor Yamada has already gone home.
リン佐藤先輩、ちょっと尋ねたいことがあるんですが。文化祭の発表のことで、先輩の意見を聞きたいんです。Sato, there's something I'd like to ask you. I want your opinion about our school festival presentation.

リン校長先生にも、私たちの発表を見てほしいんです。でも、どう言えばいいか分からなくて。I want the principal to see our presentation too. But I don't know how to say it.
{佐藤|さとう}「ぜひご覧になってほしいです」と言えばいいよ。今、校長室にいらっしゃるはずだよ。You can say, "I'd really like you to come and see it." The principal should be in the principal's office now.
リン(校長室で)校長先生、文化祭で私たちのクラスが日本の歌を発表します。ぜひご覧になってほしいです。(In the principal's office) Principal, our class is going to perform a Japanese song at the school festival. We'd really like you to come and see it.

こうちょう is written 校長 (principal). The first kanji is 校 as in 学校. "I listened to the principal's talk."
