As soon as ~ (then I will / please)
Means "as soon as A is done, B will be done." It is common in formal or business contexts such as announcements. The second clause expresses a future action, suggestion or request (I will contact you, please call). The second clause cannot describe a past event or something that happens naturally, beyond anyone's control.
結果が 分かり次第、すぐにご連絡します。
We will contact you as soon as we know the results.
準備が でき次第、出発しましょう。
Let's leave as soon as we're ready.
Depending on ~ / it depends on ~
Means "is decided by N / depends on N." At the end of a sentence use 次第だ (it depends on your effort); mid-sentence use 次第で (decide the plan depending on the weather). 次第では means "depending on N, (something) may happen," pointing to a possibility in certain cases.
合格できるかどうかは、あなたの努力次第だ。
Whether you pass or not depends on your effort.
天気次第で、明日どこへ行くか決めましょう。
Let's decide where to go tomorrow depending on the weather.
