Tanaka works at a small bakery in front of the station. Last month, the shop started selling a new product, "cheese curry bread."
After a month, the shop did a questionnaire survey of customers about this product.
Looking at the results, as many as ninety percent of customers were satisfied with the taste.
But there were also complaints. The most common one was "When I go in the evening, it's already sold out."
The shop also gets phone inquiries every day asking, "Around what time can I buy one?"
Tanaka thought about it. Maybe what matters to customers is being able to buy the bread when they want to eat it, more than a new flavor.
So Tanaka suggested to the manager, "How about baking another batch in the evening too?"
The manager said, "Good idea," and then laughed. "But I think one reason it sells out is that you buy three to take home every day."
For Tanaka too, this bread has a taste that's worth buying every day.
