A ば B states the condition A that is needed for B. It is common for general truths and for what will happen. どうすればいいですか is a set phrase for asking advice. When A is an action verb, B should not be a request or invitation, but this is fine when A is a state such as ある or an adjective.
急げば、九時の 電車に 間に合います。
If you hurry, you'll make the nine o'clock train.
天気が よければ、ここから 山が よく 見えます。
If the weather is good, you can see the mountains well from here.
if (it's the case that) ~; as for ~
(1) Picking up what someone said or the situation, なら gives advice or an opinion: 京都へ行くなら、秋がいいですよ (if you're going to Kyoto, autumn is best). The advice is about before going. (2) Noun + なら answers about a topic the other person raised: 田中さんなら、図書館にいましたよ (as for Tanaka, he was in the library).
A「来月、京都へ 行きたいんです。」
B「京都へ 行くなら、秋が いいですよ。」
A: I want to go to Kyoto next month. B: If you're going to Kyoto, autumn is the best time.
寒いなら、エアコンを つけましょうか。
If you're cold, shall I turn on the heater?

店員お一人なら、この 二つが いいですよ。比べれば、違いが すぐ 分かります。If it's just for you, these two are good. If you compare them, you'll see the difference right away.
