คำอธิบาย
な-adjectives are words like 静か (quiet), 元気 (healthy, lively), 有名 (famous), 便利 (convenient) and きれい (pretty, clean). At the end of a sentence they take です, just like nouns: 静かです. Before a noun they need な: 静かな 町 (a quiet town). The negative is also the same as for nouns: 静かじゃありません or 静かではありません. In conversation, 静かじゃないです is common too.

ข้อควรรู้
Do not mix these with い-adjective forms (✕ きれいくないです → きれいじゃありません; ✕ 有名の 人 → 有名な 人). 同じ (same) is special: it takes no な before a noun (同じ 本). For the past, say 静かでした.
