Formação

  • V意向形 + と思う
  • V意向形 + と思っている

Explicação

Volitional form + と思う tells what the speaker has decided or is planning to do. It sounds more decided than 〜たいです, which is only a wish. 〜ようと思います can express a decision made just now. 〜ようと思っています shows an intention the speaker has had for some time and still has. To talk about another person's intention, use 〜ようと思っています.

Exemplos

  • 今日きょうは 疲つかれたから、早はやく 寝ねようと思おもいます。

    I'm tired today, so I think I'll go to bed early.

  • 週末しゅうまつは 部屋へやの 掃除そうじを しようと思おもいます。

    I'm thinking of cleaning my room this weekend.

  • 大学だいがくを 出でてから、日本にほんの 会社かいしゃで 働はたらこうと思おもっています。

    After I finish university, I'm planning to work at a Japanese company.

  • 兄あには 新あたらしい パソコンを 買かおうと思おもっています。

    My older brother is thinking of buying a new computer.

Observações

行くと思います means 'I think (someone) will go', a guess, not an intention. To state an intention with と思う, use the volitional form: 行こうと思います.
