- V普通形 + はずだ
- いA普通形 + はずだ
- なA + な + はずだ
- N + の + はずだ
Explicación
Use はずだ when you are fairly sure something is true or will happen because of facts you know. It is more confident than かもしれない, and a reason with 〜から often appears in the sentence. It is not used to state your own intentions.

Notas
To state your own intention, use つもり, not はず: 明日、図書館へ行くつもりです. Remember な for na-adjectives (上手なはず) and の for nouns (休みのはず).

2マリアさんは 料理の 学校で 勉強したから、料理が 上手( )はずです。
Respuesta y explicación
Respuesta: 1 な
Maria studied at a cooking school, so she should be good at cooking. 上手 is a na-adjective, so it becomes 上手なはず. の is used with nouns.
3A「山田さんは 来ますか。」
B「来ると 言っていましたから、( )。」
Respuesta y explicación
Respuesta: 2 来るはずです
'Is Mr. Yamada coming?' 'He said he would come, so he should come.' The reason supports 来るはず. 来ないはず contradicts it. 3 and 4 express the speaker's own will or wish, so they cannot describe Yamada.
