解說

例句
この店の料理は、値段が 安いわりにおいしい。
The food at this restaurant is good for the price.
兄はよく 食べるわりに太らない。
My older brother doesn't gain weight, considering how much he eats.
田中さんは 年のわりに若く見える。
Mr. Tanaka looks young for his age.
このかばんは 丈夫なわりに軽くて、旅行に便利だ。
This bag is light for how sturdy it is, so it's handy for travel.
注意
Nouns need の and な-adjectives need な: 年のわりに, 丈夫なわりに. にしては is similar, but it attaches directly to a noun, as in 子どもにしては.
小測驗
1このアパートは駅から近い( )、家賃が安い。
答案與解析
答案: 4 わりに
Places near a station are usually expensive, so わりに fits: "This apartment is cheap for being so close to the station." The other choices give a reason, which makes "cheap because it is close" illogical.
2弟は小学生( )難しい言葉をよく知っている。
答案與解析
答案: 2 のわりに
With a noun, add の: 小学生のわりに. The sentence means "For an elementary school student, my little brother knows a lot of difficult words." なわりに is for な-adjectives, and わりで does not exist.
3彼は一生懸命練習した( )、試合では勝てなかった。
答案與解析
答案: 3 わりには
The result was worse than expected, so わりには fits: "Considering how hard he practiced, he couldn't win the match." The other choices do not fit in form or meaning.
