-ish, looks like ~ / tends to ~
(1) After a noun or the stem of an i-adjective, it means "looks like ~ / has a feel of ~" (子どもっぽい childish, 白っぽい whitish, 安っぽい cheap-looking). (2) After the masu-stem of a verb, it means "tends to ~ easily" as a personality trait (忘れっぽい forgetful, 怒りっぽい short-tempered). It conjugates like an i-adjective. It is casual and often negative.
兄はもう大学生なのに、考え方が子どもっぽい。
My brother is already a university student, but the way he thinks is childish.
あの白っぽいコートを着ている人が田中さんです。
The person in the whitish coat over there is Mr. Tanaka.
Tend to ~ (usually something undesirable)
Means "something tends to happen often" or "one easily ends up doing ~," usually about undesirable things. It follows the masu-stem of a verb, and also certain nouns such as 病気がち (often sick), 留守がち (often away), 曇りがち (often cloudy). It works like a na-adjective: 〜がちだ, 〜がちな + noun, 〜がちの + noun.
寒い日は、朝起きるのが遅くなりがちだ。
On cold days, I tend to get up late.
仕事が忙しいと、昼ご飯を抜きがちです。
When work is busy, I tend to skip lunch.
今日は、わたしの性格について書いてみます。Today I'm going to try writing about my personality.
わたしは、よく「明るいね」と言われます。友だちと話すのが大好きで、いつも笑っているからです。People often tell me, "You're so cheerful." That's because I love talking with my friends and I'm always laughing.
でも、欠点もあります。とても忘れっぽいのです。先月は、傘を三回も電車に忘れてしまいました。But I have faults too. I'm very forgetful. Last month I left my umbrella on the train three times.
それから、失敗すると落ち込みがちです。テストの点が悪かった日は、晩ご飯も食べたくなくなります。Also, when I make a mistake, I tend to feel down. On days when I get a bad test score, I don't even want to eat dinner.
人に怒ることは、あまりありません。でも妹は、「お姉ちゃんは、おなかがすくと少し怒りっぽくなるよ」と言います。I don't often get angry at people. But my little sister says, "When you're hungry, you get a little short-tempered."
日本語の先生には、「リンさんは素直なところが長所ですね」と言われました。注意されたことを、すぐに直すからだそうです。My Japanese teacher told me, "Your strong point is that you're open and honest, Lin." Apparently it's because I fix things right away when I'm corrected.
兄のように真面目な性格ではありませんが、明るくて素直な自分が好きです。I'm not as serious as my older brother, but I like myself for being cheerful and honest.
じつは、この作文は昨日も書きました。でも、そのノートをどこに置いたか忘れてしまったので、今日もう一度書いています。やっぱり、忘れっぽいですね。Actually, I wrote this essay yesterday too. But I forgot where I put that notebook, so I'm writing it again today. I really am forgetful, aren't I?

"I've been busy lately, so I tend to skip breakfast." がち follows the ます stem: 抜きがちだ.

答案: 3 ちょうしょ
長所 is read ちょうしょ (strong point). The sentence means "His strong point is that he is kind to everyone."
