Even ~ (so naturally others too)
さえ gives an extreme or very basic example to suggest "if even this is true, the rest is obviously true." It is often used in negative sentences. It replaces が and を, and でさえ is common for subjects. Other particles stay, as in にさえ.
忙しくて、昼ご飯を食べる 時間さえ ない。
I'm so busy that I don't even have time to eat lunch.
この問題は、先生でさえ わからなかった。
Even the teacher couldn't solve this problem.
As long as ~ / if only ~
AさえBば、C means "as long as A is B, C will follow; nothing else matters." It stresses that this single condition is enough. さえ can follow a noun, or be inserted into a verb or adjective, as in 飲みさえすれば, 続けてさえいれば, and 安くさえあれば.
時間さえあれば、もっといろいろな国を旅行したい。
If only I had time, I would travel to many more countries.
この仕事は、パソコンさえ使えれば、だれでもできます。
As long as you can use a computer, anyone can do this job.
