คำอธิบาย
This means "it sometimes happens that ~" (not always, but now and then). It is used for habits and things that happen occasionally, often with 時々 or たまに. It follows the dictionary form or the ない form of a verb, and also adjectives. Be careful: with the た form, 〜たことがある means past experience ("have done ~"), which is a different pattern.

ควิซสั้นๆ
1雨の日は、バスが遅れて来る( )。
เฉลยและคำอธิบาย
เฉลย: 2 ことがあります
"On rainy days, the bus sometimes comes late." ことがあります means it sometimes happens. ことにしています and ようにしています describe a person's own decision or effort, so they do not fit a bus. ことができます (can) does not make sense here.
2子どものころ、一度だけ北海道へ( )ことがあります。
เฉลยและคำอธิบาย
เฉลย: 3 行った
"When I was a child, I went to Hokkaido only once." 一度だけ and 子どものころ show past experience, so we need the た form: 行ったことがある. 行くことがある would mean "I sometimes go," which does not fit.
3仕事が忙しいときは、昼ごはんを( )ことがある。
เฉลยและคำอธิบาย
เฉลย: 4 食べない
"When I am busy at work, I sometimes skip lunch." Before ことがある we use the dictionary form or the ない form: 食べないことがある. The forms 食べなく, 食べないで, and 食べず cannot come before こと.
