Regardless of ~

बनावट
  • N + にかかわらず(年齢・天候・経験の有無 など)
  • V辞書形 + Vない形 + にかかわらず(行く行かない)
  • いA + いAくない + にかかわらず(多い少ない)
  • V普通形 + かどうか + にかかわらず

It means "it does not matter whether A or B." It follows nouns that include differences (age, weather, gender, whether one has experience) or pairs of opposites such as するしない or 多い少ない. It is common in notices, rules and explanations. It is also written 関わらず.

    Anyone can take this exam, regardless of age.

  • 参加さんかするしないにかかわらず、来週らいしゅうまでに返事へんじをください。

〜を問わず

Regardless of ~; no matter ~

It means the difference does not matter; everything is treated the same. It follows nouns that contain differences, such as age, gender, nationality, experience, day or night and season, or paired words like 男女 or 国内外. It is formal and common in job ads and notices. At the end of a sentence, say 経験は問いません.

応募おうぼは、前日ぜんじつまでにメールか電話でんわでお願ねがいします。Please apply by email or phone by the day before.

集あつめたごみの中なかから、一番いちばん珍めずらしい物ものを見みつけた方かたには、小ちいさなプレゼントがあります。The person who finds the most unusual item among the collected litter gets a small present.
