बनावट

• V普通形 + かどうか
• いA普通形 + かどうか
• なA + かどうか(「だ」は付けない)
• N + かどうか(「だ」は付けない)

व्याख्या

Use this to put a yes-no question inside a sentence: 明日雨が降りますか becomes 明日雨が降るかどうか. Verbs such as 分かる, 知る, 聞く, 調べる, and 決める often follow. Do not put だ after na-adjectives or nouns. For questions with a question word (where, what, when), use 〜か instead of かどうか.

उदाहरण

• 明日あした雨あめが降ふるかどうか、まだ分わかりません。

  I don't know yet whether it will rain tomorrow.

• この店みせがおいしいかどうか、一度いちど食たべてみましょう。

  Let's try eating here once to see whether this restaurant is good.

• 田中たなかさんが会議かいぎに来くるかどうか、聞きいてみます。

  I'll ask whether Tanaka is coming to the meeting.

• 駅えきの近ちかくのホテルが静しずかかどうか、インターネットで調しらべました。

  I checked online whether the hotel near the station is quiet.

टिप्पणी

Do not say 本当だかどうか or 静かなかどうか. Say 本当かどうか and 静かかどうか.
