व्याख्या

Shows a role, status, qualification or category, meaning in the position of or in the role of. It is used for people and also for how things are used (used as a school). To modify a noun, use NとしてのN.

उदाहरण

彼女かのじょは通訳つうやく として 会議かいぎに参加さんかしました。

She took part in the meeting as an interpreter.
この建物たてものは、昔むかしは学校がっこう として 使つかわれていました。

This building used to be used as a school.
私わたしは留学生りゅうがくせい として、去年きょねん日本にほんに来きました。

I came to Japan last year as an international student.
社会人しゃかいじん としての マナーを会社かいしゃで教おしえてもらいました。

I was taught the manners expected of a working adult at my company.

टिप्पणी

Do not confuse it with にとって (an evaluation from someone's viewpoint). 私にとって大切です is correct, but 私として大切です is unnatural.
