ရှင်းလင်းချက်
Marks the topic or content of verbs like speak, ask, think, research and write. It is close to Nのことを but a little more formal, so it is common in class and at work. To modify a noun, use NについてのN (e.g. a book about history).

It is followed by verbs such as talk, think, research or know. You cannot say 音楽について好きです; say 音楽が好きです instead.

We discussed environmental problems in class. について marks the topic of the discussion. にとって gives a viewpoint, おかげで gives a reason, and たびに means every time, so they do not fit.

This is a book about Japanese food. Before a noun (本), the form is についての. You cannot put について directly before a noun.

My father knows a lot about cars. について shows what he knows about. The other choices do not make a correct sentence.
