also, too (used in place of は, が or を)
も means "also" or "too." It shows that what was said about one thing is true of another thing as well. Put も directly after the noun that is "also" the case. も replaces は, が and を (say 私も, not 私はも), but it follows other particles such as に, で and と, giving にも, でも and とも. In a negative sentence, も means "not ... either."
私は 学生です。リンさんも 学生です。
I am a student. Lin-san is a student, too.
今日は 休みです。明日も 休みです。
Today is a day off. Tomorrow is a day off, too.
Links two nouns: possession, affiliation, or type
の joins two nouns. In N1 の N2, the first noun describes the second, and N2 is the main noun. It shows the owner (私の 本, my book), the group someone belongs to (大学の 先生, a university teacher), the kind or content (日本語の 本, a Japanese-language book), and many other relations. When N2 is obvious, you can leave it out: 私のです means "It's mine."

R1マリアさん:「妹は ( )です。」
Respuesta: 2 学生
The passage says 弟も学生です。妹も学生です (My younger brother is a student, too. My younger sister is a student, too). も means "also", so the younger sister is a student.
R2マリアさん:「私の 日本語の 先生は ( )です。」
Respuesta: 4 姉の 友だち
The older sister's friend is named Sakura, and the last line says Sakura-san is 私の日本語の先生 (my Japanese teacher). So the answer is 姉の友だち. The older brother is also a teacher, but Maria-san's Japanese teacher is Sakura-san.
1父、母、兄、妹は 私の ( )です。
Respuesta: 3 家族
The sentence means "My father, mother, older brother and younger sister are my family." 家族 means family. 友だち (friend), 先生 (teacher) and 名前 (name) do not fit.
2ケンは 私の 兄です。ユキは ケンの 妹です。私も ケンの ( )です。
Respuesta: 1 妹
"Ken is my older brother. Yuki is Ken's younger sister. I am Ken's ___, too." 兄 is an older brother, so the speaker is younger than Ken. も means "also", so the speaker is the same as Yuki: 妹 (younger sister). 姉 is an older sister, 母 is mother and 父 is father.
3さくらさんは 姉の ( )です。姉は 学生です。さくらさんも 学生です。
Respuesta: 2 友だち
"Sakura-san is my older sister's ___. My sister is a student. Sakura-san is a student, too." Sakura-san is a person, so 友だち (friend) fits. 名前 (name), 国 (country) and 仕事 (job) are not people.
4A:私は 学生です。リンさんも 学生ですか。 B:( )
Respuesta: 4 はい、私も 学生です。
A says "I am a student. Are you a student, too, Lin-san?" The natural answer is はい、私も学生です (Yes, I am a student, too). も means "also". In 2, いいえ does not match. In 3, the job is different. In 1, 私の学生 means "my student".
5リンさんは 私( ) 友だちです。
Respuesta: 1 の
The sentence means "Lin-san is my friend." の connects two nouns: 私の友だち means "my friend". は, か and さん cannot connect 私 and 友だち.
6姉の 友だちは __ __ _★_ __。
Respuesta: 3 学生
The correct order is 2→4→3→1: 姉の友だちは 日本の学生です (My older sister's friend is a Japanese student). の connects 日本 and 学生, and です comes at the end. The star is 学生.
7母は 先生です。
Respuesta: 4 はは
母 is read はは (my mother). The sentence means "My mother is a teacher." ちち is 父 (father), あね is 姉 (older sister) and あに is 兄 (older brother).
8弟も 学生です。
Respuesta: 2 おとうと
弟 is read おとうと (younger brother). The sentence means "My younger brother is a student, too." いもうと is 妹 (younger sister). Note the long sound written with う: おとうと, not おとと or おとおと.
