〜てほしい

Want someone (or something) to do ~

Formación

  • (人 + に)Vて形 + ほしい
  • (人 + に)Vない形 + で ほしい

Explicación

〜てほしい expresses a wish for someone else, not yourself, to do something. Mark that person with に. It can also be used for weather or events, as in 晴れてほしい (I hope it's sunny). For your own wish, use 〜たい. 〜ないでほしい means "I want someone not to do ~."

Notas
