व्याख्या

Gives a few examples and means "any of these will do." It often appears in advice or requests, such as 〜なり〜なりしてください. It is not used to describe what someone already did. It can sound a little blunt toward superiors.

分わからないことがあれば、先生せんせいに聞きくなり辞書じしょで調しらべるなりしなさい。

If there is something you don't understand, ask the teacher or look it up in a dictionary.
休やすむときは、電話でんわなりメールなりで必かならず連絡れんらくしてください。

When you take a day off, be sure to let us know by phone or email.
飲のみ物ものは、お茶ちゃなりコーヒーなり、好すきなものを選えらんでください。

For drinks, please choose whatever you like, tea or coffee.

टिप्पणी

なり also follows question words, as in なんなりと. Unlike 〜とか〜とか, which just lists examples, なり〜なり means "pick one of these."

Please either consult the section chief about that matter or decide it yourself. It pairs with the later 決めるなり to form 〜なり〜なりしてください.
