Intransitive verbs (something happens) and transitive verbs (someone does something)
A transitive verb says that someone does something to an object, marked with を (私はドアを開けます, I open the door). An intransitive verb says that something happens or changes; the thing that changes is marked with が (ドアが開きます, The door opens). Japanese has many such pairs: 開く/開ける, 閉まる/閉める, つく/つける, 消える/消す, 始まる/始める, 入る/入れる, 壊れる/壊す, 落ちる/落とす. Intransitive verb + ています describes the state after the change (電気がついています, The light is on).
暑いから、窓を 開けました。
風で ドアが 開きました。
It was hot, so I opened the window. The door opened in the wind.
部屋の 電気が ついて います。だれか いますね。
The light in the room is on. Someone is in there, isn't there?
Volitional form: let's ~, I'll ~ (plain form of 〜ましょう)
The volitional form is the plain form of 〜ましょう. Use it to invite friends or family to do something together (いっしょに帰ろう, Let's go home together) and, as 〜ようか, to offer help (持とうか, Shall I carry it?). It also expresses your own decision when talking to yourself or thinking (今日は早く寝よう, I'll go to bed early today). It is an important form used in patterns you will learn later, such as 〜ようと思う.
もう 十二時だ。そろそろ 寝よう。
It's already twelve o'clock. I'll go to bed now.
疲れたね。ちょっと 休もう。
We're tired, aren't we? Let's take a short break.
マリアうわ、部屋が 汚いね。今日は 二人で 片付けよう。Wow, the room is a mess. Let's tidy it up together today.
リンそうだね。まず 床の ごみを 集めよう。Good idea. First, let's collect the trash on the floor.

リンごめん、それは 昨日 私が 落としてしまったんだ。Sorry, I dropped it yesterday.
マリアいいよ。それから、この 時計、動いていないね。だれが 壊したの?That's okay. And this clock isn't working. Who broke it?
リン私じゃないよ。自然に 壊れたんだよ。It wasn't me. It broke by itself.
マリアどれどれ…電池が 入っていないだけだよ。新しい 電池を 入れてみよう。Let me see... There just isn't a battery in it. Let's try putting in a new battery.
リンあ、動いた! でも、アラームが 鳴っている…。Oh, it's working! But the alarm is ringing...
マリアうるさい! 早く 止めて!It's so loud! Turn it off, quick!
リン…あれ? 止められない。この ボタンは 本当に 壊れているね。...Huh? I can't stop it. This button really is broken.

My older brother collects stamps from around the world. 集める means to collect. 動く, 落ちる and 割れる are intransitive and do not take を.

정답: 4 壊しました
My younger brother broke my camera. Because of カメラを, you need the transitive verb 壊す. 壊れる is intransitive: カメラが壊れました.
4寝る 前に 部屋を 片付けました。
정답: 2 かたづけました
片付ける is read かたづける (to tidy up). Here 片 is read かた, not へん; か is not voiced, but 付 becomes づ. The sentence means: I tidied my room before going to bed.

정답: 4 落ちました
The book on the desk fell onto the floor. With 本が, the intransitive verb 落ちる fits. The other three are transitive verbs used with を.
