बनावट
- Vます形 + ました
- Vます形 + ませんでした
व्याख्या
〜ました is the past of 〜ます and politely describes an action that is finished. Its negative is 〜ませんでした (did not). These forms often appear with past time words such as 昨日 (yesterday), 先週 (last week) and 去年 (last year). Make a question with 〜ましたか and answer はい、〜ました or いいえ、〜ませんでした. The form is the same for every subject.
उदाहरण
昨日 友達と 映画を 見ました。
I watched a movie with a friend yesterday.
今朝は 朝ごはんを 食べませんでした。
I didn't eat breakfast this morning.
A: 先週 京都へ 行きましたか。
B: いいえ、行きませんでした。A: Did you go to Kyoto last week? B: No, I didn't.
私は 去年の 四月に 日本へ 来ました。
I came to Japan in April last year.
टिप्पणी
For the negative past, add でした after ません (✕ 行きましたません). The past of a noun sentence is でした / じゃありませんでした, as in 昨日は 休みでした (Yesterday was a day off). For "have not done yet," use まだ 〜ていません, not 〜ませんでした.
सम्बन्धित व्याकरण
सानो क्विज
1昨日 図書館で 日本語を ( )。
उत्तर र व्याख्या
उत्तर: 3 勉強しました
"I studied Japanese at the library yesterday." 昨日 is past, so the verb must be the past form 勉強しました. します and しません describe habits or the future, and しますでした is not a real form.
2A: 先週 会社へ 行きましたか。
B: いいえ、( )。
उत्तर र व्याख्या
उत्तर: 2 行きませんでした
A asks "Did you go to the office last week?" and B answers "No, I didn't." A negative answer about the past uses 〜ませんでした. 行きません is not past, 行きましたません is not a real form, and 行きました does not match いいえ.
3私は ( ) 十二時に 寝ました。
उत्तर र व्याख्या
उत्तर: 4 ゆうべ
"I went to bed at twelve last night." 寝ました is past, so it matches the past time word ゆうべ (last night). 明日 (tomorrow), あさって (the day after tomorrow) and 来週 (next week) are in the future and cannot be used with 〜ました.
