あの 人は だれですか Who is that person?
Learn words for people around you, such as 男の人 (man), 女の子 (girl) and ともだち (friend). With この, その, あの and どの, you can point out which person or thing, as in この人 (this person) and あの 男の子 (that boy over there).

この・その・あの・どの
this, that, that over there, which (always before a noun)
ဖွဲ့စည်းပုံ
- この／その／あの／どの + N
この, その, あの and どの must always be followed by a noun. The distance rules are the same as for これ, それ and あれ: この for something near the speaker, その for something near the listener, あの for something far from both, and どの to ask "which ~?". Unlike これ, they can also be used for people (この 人, あの 先生). この 本は 私のです and これは 私の 本です mean almost the same thing.

アリあの 人は わたしの おかあさんです。あの 男の人は おとうさんです。She's my mother. That man over there is my father.
マリアえ! みんな アリさんの かぞくですか! アリさんの ともだちは どの 人ですか。What! They're all your family?! Which one is your friend, Ali?
アリマリアさんです! マリアさんは わたしの ともだちです。It's you, Maria! You are my friend.

A says その ノート, so the notebook is near B. B therefore says この ノート (this notebook). これ cannot come before a noun.

Before a noun like 人, use あの: "Is that person over there Ali?" これ, それ and どれ stand alone and cannot come before a noun.
