Formación
- グループ1: 「う段」→「お段」+ う(行く → 行こう、飲む → 飲もう、話す → 話そう)
- グループ2: る → よう(食べる → 食べよう、見る → 見よう)
- グループ3: する → しよう、来る → 来よう
Explicación
The volitional form is the plain form of 〜ましょう. Use it to invite friends or family to do something together (いっしょに帰ろう, Let's go home together) and, as 〜ようか, to offer help (持とうか, Shall I carry it?). It also expresses your own decision when talking to yourself or thinking (今日は早く寝よう, I'll go to bed early today). It is an important form used in patterns you will learn later, such as 〜ようと思う.

Notas
It is not normally used with verbs you cannot control by will, such as ある, 分かる, できる or 雨が降る. To teachers or people above you, use 〜ましょう or 〜ましょうか instead of the volitional form.
